Champ Bed Mills are built to last
and include many of the same
mechanical features normally found
only on CNC machines.
Castings are Heavily Duty
Meehanite that are furnace aged to
eliminate growth and add rigidity.
Way surfaces and hardened and
precision ground. All female sliding
surfaces are coated with state of
the art Turcite "B". Turcite helps
to reduce stick slip and adds a
cushion between the metal to metal
sliding surfaces thus extended the
life of the machine.
Each axis includes "Precision
Ground Ballscrews. The Heavy Duty
Spindle Head is Counter balanced
Each axis can be moved by
hand-wheel (manually) or
electronically via a DC Servo Motor. |

Spindle Heads are clean room
assembled and feature Inverted
Spindle Speeds ( commonly known as
EVS "Electronic Variable Speeds").
This system delivers maximum low end
torque, plus offers super smooth
spindles since there are no
collapsible pulleys. |
